The Dream of the Audience Theresa Hak Kyung Cha consists of two projects: a documentary film entitled, A State Beyond Sorrow, and its companion project, Cha Stream on Instagram. The two projects offer different ways of engaging with Cha’s art and story, one more time based and linear and the other more fragmented and open ended, with different but related elements.
The film is currently in post-production. As we are completing the film, we will be sharing a rich flow of ephemeral stories and posts about Cha on our Cha Stream.
We will also be continually adding to this website especially the artist, film and videos pages so come back periodically. Paraphrasing the Greek philosopher Heraclitus, you never step into the same stream twice.
